Summary: When one of Robotnik's Swatbots develops a mechanical plant called "Krudzu," a malevolent robot-like plant with an affinity to water, he decides to modify a Burrobot to plant its seeds within The Great Forest! Meanwhile in Knothole Antoine, depressed because Sally only pays attention to Sonic, decides to get her a bouquet of flowers. Unfortunately he also ends up getting as well! Can sonic get there in time to save him and the forest as well?

Summary: (Note that Boomer is called Rotor in future issues as this is his nickname) Boomer discovers that Robotnik is making a big presentation in the Casino Night Zone! Sonic crashes the party, only to be subdued by Robotnik's newest baddie: The Orbinaut! And it is then that he is put in a giant pinball machine and sent through one very rough ride! Can he escape? [Note: Apparently the casino was rebuilt for "The Man From H.E.D.G.E.H.O.G." (#16); the pinball (Spinball?) plot was used to better effect later on in the "Game Guy" episode of the TV series; Rotor was still being called "Boomer" at this time.]

But it's not over yet, for upon their return to The Great Forest, they come face to robotic face with a giant Burrobot bent on destroying all in sight!

The first story to feature Super Sonic! Robotnik has decided to roboticise the ultimate creature - but due to Swatbot incompetence all he gets is a salamander. But thanks to a Buzzbomber that pulls the wrong switch it grows out of control becoming The Universalamander! But this robot isn't under Robotnik's control, and acting as a free agent he proceeds to destroy everything in site!
"Tails' Little Tale"

Meanwhile, before the competition, a SWATbot switches Sonic's sneakers with energy-draining shoes... So when Sonic drops on the track, the other Freedom Fighters (excluding Tails) must take his place! Can they save Mobius? And what is Tails doing anyway?

The adaption of the Sgea Genesis Game Sonic Spinball! When the freedom fighters attack Robotnik's factory, they find that Robotnik has relocated to deep within Mount Mobius, an active volcano! And it is there where Sonic enters the Veg-O-Matic Fortress where he is attacked by Rexxon and Scorpius! After defeating them, he runs into two allies in the Lava Powerhouse, Hip and Hop, who warn him about the Ferrons. But after Sonic trashes the Ferrons, he comes across a more dire situation - a cell full of animals awaiting roboticization!
"Sonic's Christmas Carol"

Rotor accidentally sends Tails through the roof - literally! It is then that the Freedom fighters find an old treasure map belonging to Uncle Chuck (Sonic 0 and 1 Miniseries). They believe the "treasure" may be an invention that will help them in finally defeating Robotnik! According to the map, the treasure was buried in the old Mobius National Park; unfortunately, the park had since been destroyed by being turned into a toxic waste dump! And when the Freedom Fighters find the spot, Robotnik attacks!
"Sorceress in Distress"

Sally dresses as a sorceress for the annual Fright Night party, but needs a staff to complete the outfit. Finding one in The Great Forest and due to a string of coincidences, she believes it to be real! Robotnik sees the "sorceress" and, unaware that it's Sally, drags her back to Robotropolis; object: matrimony!

While the Freedom Fighters rummage through the Mobius Music Hall, Robotnik and Snively finally shrink them, and using his Pest Buster vacuum to suck up the shrunken Sonic!

And while in an invalid state The Pseudo-Sonic discovers Knothole and is about to reveal its location to the gleefully awaiting Doctor Robotnik!
"What's the Point?"

While looking for a birthday present for Sally, Sonic comes upon a Mobian Needlebird with a broken wing. Wanting to give it as a present, Sally reminds him of other animals the freedom fighters have brought back! Meanwhile the Needlebird, dubbed Thorny, has become quite a nuisance, eating Sally's birthday cake. But as Sally goes off to replace the cake while Sonic returns Thorny to the Great Forest, Sally is caught by a mechanical tree!

This is a horrid story BUT this issue marks TWO landmarks - 1. It features the first few complaints about the stories and Manak's art and 2. It is the debut of Art Mawhinney! While attempting to steal power from Robotropolis, the Freedom Fighters are caught in an electric force field. And before the Swatbot Armada can come to claim thier prize, the Freedom Fighters escape through a hole in the ground dug for them by a Nerb, part of an underground-dewlling nasty acting, ungrateful race of underground nerds. (They even look like the candy!) The King Nerbs maintains that contact with surface-dwellers is bad news, but their air vents and water supply are being threatened by construction activity above ground. The Freedom Fighters, now disgusted head towards the surface and discovers one of the old Mobian sewer pipes and come to find Robotnik doing some excavating to build an new underground installation and 3 Nerb prisoners!
"'Twan With the Wind"

The Freedom Fighters use Antoine's hot air balloon to scout out a suitable location for their picnic but when two Buzzbombers attack the balloon Robotnik learns of the picnic and decides to crash it! And when Robotnik attacks, it's up to Antoine to patch up the balloon and come to the rescue!
