As a thank you Roger invites Sonic to his house to meet his wife and have a cup of tea. The problem is that Roger made the house entirely himself, and it’s of the same poor quality that the bridge was. He even tried to reprogram one of Robotnik’s Troopers into a robot butler. But when the Trooper sees Sonic his old programming kicks back in and he tries to destroy him. Their fight causes Roger’s entire house to fall to pieces, though it was on it’s way there without Sonic or the Trooper’s help in the first place. The hedgehog leaves hoping Roger has learned his lesson about dodgy DIY jobs.

“Bravehog”
Writer: Lew Stringer
Artist: Mick McMahon
Sonic rescues a stranger from some badniks and when the stranger asks him why he bothered to save someone he doesn’t know Sonic tells the story of Bravehog. Six hundred years ago all the tribes of Mobius lived in separate villages according to their species (E.g. Foxes only live with foxes, badgers only live with badgers, etc). A hyena called King Leer, who conquered other villages by burning them down, ruled the land. Taking over the other tribes was easy because no one would help someone who wasn’t the same species as them, except for the leader of the hedgehog tribe, Bravehog. When the fox tribe is attacked Bravehog goes to fight the hyenas off, but fails since none of the foxes will help him. But when Bravehog is about to receive his punishment the other tribes become inspired and start fighting back against the hyenas to set Bravehog free. From that day forward all the people of Mobius lived together. The stranger comments on how cool Bravehog must have been, to which Sonic replies, “It’s obvious who I take after”. Then the stranger shows that under the hood he is a hyena himself, but Sonic shakes his hand telling him he can’t help who his ancestors were.

But on the way off the island he falls down some steps, gets a pot stuck on his head, is almost crushed in a cave in and then almost sliced to bits by falling weapons, so he soon changes his mind. Zorabel decides it’s too risky to keep him on board so she puts him on a separate boat tied to the main ship.

“Zero Zone – Part Two”
Writer: Lew Stringer
Artist: Andy Pritchett

He tries to escape by using his spin attack against the zone’s force field causing the zone to go all fuzzy and Citizen One to reveal himself to be a computer program designed by Robotnik. Citizen One was given up on when Robotnik learned his desire was to create a happy zone, and the only reason he abducted the Mobians was because he was feeling lonely. Sonic tells him there are other ways to get Mobians to come to the zone without brainwashing them and the zone remodels itself into a carnival.

But Tiberius knows Plunder’s luck can’t last and he will get revenge for when Plunder betrayed him while they served under Black Beak. Back at Plunder’s ship Zorabel has set out two chests out, one containing treasure and one that’s empty. She says that if Plunder picks the chest with the treasure in he can keep it, but if he picks the empty chest he gets nothing. Despite his bad luck Plunder somehow manages to pick the right chest, so he drops Zorabel and her daughters off back at Scourge Bay before taking the treasure. However, once they’ve left Plunder trips, spilling the treasure over the edge of the ship. This causes the security shield to be disrupted and Tiberius to get a lock on Plunder’s ship. Once he’s shot them down Tiberius leaves Plunder and his crew stuck on a desert island.

Writer: Lew Stringer
Artist: Roberto Corona
Amy and Tekno are making sure all the local citizens have gotten to safety before they fight some of Robotnik’s new badniks when they notice one person isn’t running at all, in fact he’s watching the badniks with binoculars! The girls manage to fight them off but the guy they saved, Norris Wimple, starts ranting and raging that they’ve ruined his day’s badnik spotting. Later that evening Norris comes up with a fool proof plan to get more badniks to come, by dressing up in Sonic costume. Amy and Tekno spot him again, but think no badnik would be that dumb. Apparently they’re wrong when one does mistake Norris for Sonic and kidnaps him. Amy manages to blast the badnik with her crossbow and Norris decides badnik spotting isn’t his thing – he’d much rather measure the boot marks of famous sports player…
