Sonic The Comic #112 - September 1997
 | “No Future” Writer: Lew Stringer Artist: Mick McMahon Robotnik creates a new badnik that apparently transports Sonic 1000 years in the future to a world where badnik’s still rule even though Robotnik himself is long gone. The people of the future seem to enjoy being hurt by the badniks and start to attack Sonic when he tries to save them from the badniks. But Sonic realises this future isn’t what Mobius will really become and breaks the illusion the first badnik had on his mind, bringing him back to present time. After that vision Sonic only becomes more determined then ever to take down Robotnik.
“Channel Hoppers” Writer: Lew Stringer Artist: Carl Flint A new TV show called the Channel Hoppers (Think Teletubbies) is grabbing the attention of teenagers nationwide. After watching the show kids want to act out Badniks vs. Sonic matches, and they say the badniks are the cool ones! Their parents insist this must be a phase they’re going through but Tails isn’t so sure and goes to pay these Channel Hoppers a visit. He finds out that they’re really members of D.R.A.T. broadcasting a frequency only young minds can pick up making them believe Robotnik is wonderful. But Tails’s friend Tim Tuna manages to block the communication and send a message across telling everyone the real plot instead, causing the Channel Hoppers’ plan to fail.
“It’s Raining Bananas” Writer: Lew Stringer Artist: Andy Pritchett This one off story is told entirely in rhyme. The Emerald Hill folk are enjoying a normal day when out of nowhere bananas start raining from the sky. Sonic suspects Grimer might be behind this and over at Flickies’ Island we find out he’s right. The machine Grimer created was supposed to launch missiles but for some reason its launching bananas instead. He tries to fix this problem with a sledgehammer but after stopping the machine he’s faced with more bananas, as Sonic has created a twister to send them back.
“Spaced out – Part Two” Writer: Lew Stringer Artist: Roberto Corona Amy says she’s seen enough sci-fi movies to guess the thing on Shortfuse’s chest is controlling his mind, but he captures them before they can do anything about it. He takes them to Grand Visor, the leader of the Insectra Empire and would be ruler of the galaxy. Amy keeps him talking while Tekno tries to get the creature off Shortfuse’s chest. When the guards try to attack Tekno they accidentally knock the creature off and Shortfuse isn’t the slightest bit happy about being controlled. But before he can get even with them the Blurrgh, enemy of the Insectra, attacks the ship.

Then Tails starts to tell Sonic about a story he read where a minotaur lived in a maze, when a minotaur turns up and tries to squash them. They manage to escape and Tails says they were lucky it wasn’t a yeti that attacked them when a yeti does attack them.
